New Babbage

A Steampunk Community

The Mark Twain Study (aka The Octogon) was built for Twain (Samuel L. Clemens) by Susan and Theodore Crane in 1874, near his summer home, Quarry Farm, so that the author would have a place to write undisturbed.

Breezy Carver & Skusting Dagger have bought this serene little piece
of architectural history to Second Life and New Babbage for the
enjoyment of all.

Located in the Southwest corner (Piermont Landing) of the Wheatstone Waterways extension of the New Babbage Canal District

I am headed there tonight! Wonderful! Thank you for opening it to us all and for highlighting the works of Twain, one amazing writer.

Very lovely it is too!

I am a little concerned having investigated the possilbilities of boobytr djangos so called allottment and his unusual process of diging over the soil that this study might not stand the danger.

I have reinforced the wall around Piermont Landing. It is Miss Razor's home that is most in harms way.

Does she know of his plans?! She must be warned! I may not have time to remove the tripwi the chance to tell her.

It's okay to hop the wall surrounding your lovely estate to go to the Twain study? I ventured over to Waterways, but felt strange clambering over the residental wall. Plus, ah, my skirts snagged on some foliage as I was attempting to boost myself over.

After frolicking in Django's new allotment (I'm sorry, but danger signs bring out the rebellious girl in me!) I went to visit Mark Twain's Study. It's charming and so cozy! I could have stayed there for hours and hours. Thank you for building this for everyone's enjoyment.
