Chapel, Churchtower, & Graveyards, Oh My!~

just making sure and getting some opions
....how many churches, chapels, cathedrals & graveyards do we have in Babbage?

Mr. Fabre and i are combining our 3 parcels on the corner of Wheatstone to form a large park area and i was thinking that a chapel might be a lovely addition...or a big dark medieval tower! [grins to Breezy] heh heh (i maintain that any Victorian city would have leftover builds from centuries past mixed in... unless Babbage had a fire in 1810 that leveled the whole city..) /mini rant

anyway, the chapel would have a graveyard on the side...or behind...and since the land is already terraformed or dug out it could have a hidden secret crypt beneath! all kinds of RP fodder there!
here's a snippet of convo i had with Mr. Tenk about it...(used with permission)

We could also let people put names of people who have left or people they knew/loved IRL that they would like to memorialize. Not to mention - imagine if I put up a memorial for Slender Means and then she returned to Babbage!!!! Oh the role play fun we could have with that!!!! But, then .... then?? Who's buried in the cemetery???

well, i did get this stone chapel....because the price and the prims were right (and i'm not saying it is *the one*)...and because the neo-pagan in me liked the tree of life on the pulpet...next i will get a graveyard...and i will be open to adding gravestones ideas from residents...maybe i can find a LOW prim mod gravestone that people can inscribe! Oooooh that would be splendid!

I have some sculpty tombstones I worked up for halloween Red. Not fancy, but a somewhat gothic arch shape that's only 1 prim. Adding words/decor would be another prim... but you're welcome to it.

I have in my Inventory a very beuatiful and ornate cathedral style church complete with a hidden crypt below its floors. And while it is someone prim heavy I have had some success placing it in a temp rezer that I also have. If anyone is interested I would be happy to donate it and set it up.))

Aww Eddy! how sweet! and how generous! how many prims are we talking about? and i really don't underestand what a temp rezzer is...i would want it standing all the time for visitors to explore, how do thehy work?

i want to say its about 300.

The temp rezzer is a script that keeps rezing tempory items. So anything that is not a working part liek a door can be placed in the rezor. Temp prims dont count against your prim count.

I have effectively in the past reduced the church to 25 prims before.

Shaun forbid them, with good reason. Those things are murder on the sim. I would wait for the changeover and ask the new mayor first. They're a cheat, basically, and have a lot of unpleasant side effects.
