New Babbage

A Steampunk Community

The terrifically talented Miss Canolli Capalini will be the speaker for THIS Sunday's salon. She has forgotten more about furniture styles and types than most of us will ever learn. Miss Canolli is an amazing builder, and her presentation is guaranteed to inform, enlighten, and flat out impress the stockings off you (for those of you who wear stockings, that is).

Please join us on Sunday at 2 pm slt at the Aether Salon.

Thank you, Sera... I'm very much looking forward to Olli's presentation. Her building always impresses me not just with the beauty and technical perfection... but there's always some humor in it, whether it's a pose she's put in the item, or the fit of music to a piece, or just the perfect flow of texture. Whatever it is she makes, she makes smiles, too.

silly Bob. If you actually owned any furniture you might feel differently. :P

Canolli, Sera and Jed - thank you ALL so much for this Salon. I had a wonderful time the other day visiting Capalini Fine Furnishings to write about Canolli's work for The Primgraph and am very excited to see what surprises she has in store for us on Sunday.

Quite, young man. Chairs, tables, settees, divans, cabinets, chests.. provide the backdrop for political and fashionable movements. When Tutankhamen had his tomb looted, why.. a veritable craze of egyptian themed furnishings swept through Europe. When the French Revolution reached it's height, german carpenters began... *clears her throat* but I digress.

It can be a very useful thing to learn about, Master Streeter. I expect to see you there.. and no, I do not wish to smell you before I see you, so bathe.

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to miss out again. *sigh* Next month, maybe? Hopefully?

I'll duct tape my stockings on and can't wait for the fun!

Can we also duct tape Bob to an elegant Canolli table?

Silence is golden, but Duct Tape is silver.

Thank you to our speaker, Miss Canolli.
Thank you to Jed who co-hosted today's salon because Miss Viv had a rl conflict.
Thank you, patrons, for supporting the salon. Your questions were insightful and your presence most appreciated.

I will post an unedited transcript and edited version of the transcript early this week.

Thank you for the transcript - it's no small feat, and there are points Miss Capalini made that I would like to review!
