New Babbage

A Steampunk Community

I know I have always been far too lazy to read a full transcript, so here are the important pieces!

Snow textures will begin to change Nov. 26th
- Kaylee Frye has snowdrift sculpts for sale at Serenity Steamworks
- Do NOT jump the gun on snow, it looks silly.
- Christmas decorating is okay, but it must be in theme. Old fashioned white globe lights are acceptable. Colored and/or flashing modern lights will be returned on sight.

Fleet Week
- Fleet Week will be a gathering of all the navies and naval enthusiasts from all the Steamlands. Think huge ships and submarine races.
- Aeolus Cleanslate needs coordinators for the sub races and Fleet Review.
- Fleet week package available in the ship in the bottle at City Hall
- Uniformed Ball at Piermont
- Events on the dock - if you have ideas, contact Breezy Carver or Aeolus Cleanslate
- Viewing platforms will be needed for the submarine races. Anyone willing to build, contact Aeolus!

Wiki
- Please archive New Babbage stories/roleplay. Things get lost on the ning over time.
- Galactic Baroque will be fixing code, so do not hesitate to get started!

2010 Expansion
- There will only be 2 more sims, otherwise Babbage will no longer be a city-state. These will fill the two North spots.
- These will not be friendly to non-builders.
- Most likely will not arrive before Spring.
- East of Academy will be the Old Quarter - lots of windy streets, no rectangular parceling.

Academy
- It's suggested to turn the Academy into an actual school with a real course schedule, specifically to teach building skills in the steampunk theme.
- Students would contribute for the classes, perhaps less from residents, as an incentive to have people teach.
- Aim for one class per week.
- A provost will be appointed by the mayor to be coordinator. The duties would include: wrangling builders, publishing a course schedule every term, publicity, managing student registrations.
Aeolus Cleanslate: I imagine us being the 'graduate school' to Caledon Oxbridge

Trains
- Regularly scheduled trains are on the agenda.
- Volunteers to help with the trains would be very helpful. IM Aeolus Cleanslate.

[13:04] Mosseveno Tenk: ok
[13:04] Mosseveno Tenk: thre is one emiter i particaily like,
[13:04] Vivi Boxen: Loki did a great job, i enjoy it more than those stupid kids who fired a few rockings outside me window, probably the closest i have been to a firework in my face
[13:04] Mosseveno Tenk: and a lot i don't like, because hte flakes are absurdly large
[13:05] Mosseveno Tenk: so be kind with the emitters in denser parts of the city so we're not drinking at our favorite pub with snow coming thru hte ceiling.
[13:05] Mosseveno Tenk: nuff said?
[13:05] Breezy Carver: laughs
[13:05] Mosseveno Tenk: Mr. Cleanslate, will you tell us about fleet week?

[13:06] Mosseveno Tenk grins
[13:06] Vivi Boxen: Erm tenk might i make a suggestion on snow? How bout changing the thinking of changing the floor texture outside making it look like it is covered in snow??))
[13:06] Mosseveno Tenk: Vivi, we do that
[13:07] Mosseveno Tenk: teh entire sim goes at once
[13:07] Aeolus Cleanslate: we've been discussing Fleet Week for most of the year - especially after the early success of the Iron melee on thursday nights
[13:07] Aeolus Cleanslate: but there never seemed a good time to do it
[13:07] Aeolus Cleanslate: but now we're officially on
[13:07] Breezy Carver smiles
[13:07] Aeolus Cleanslate: thanks to Breezy, and the Baron, and many others, it looks like we'll have a remarkable event
[13:08] Vivi Boxen: ((Make the cobbles floor al righ, and dd a few snowmen, but you don't have to cover all the roads, snow doesn't fall that much in the city mostly slush, maybe just put some on the paths?))
[13:08] Aeolus Cleanslate: the ship in a bottle there is our participants' package
[13:08] Aeolus Cleanslate: please feel free to take a copy if you'd like
[13:08] Loki Eliot: what is fleet week?
[13:08] Aeolus Cleanslate: there's a detailed notecard

[13:09] Loki Eliot: So much happens in New Babbage, that i miss half of whats going on :)
[13:09] Aeolus Cleanslate: a (hopefully massive) iron melee in the Vernian Sea/Deep between national navies
[13:10] Aeolus Cleanslate grins at Loki
[\13:10] Jimmy Branagh chuckles as Mr. Worvridge sits on Miss Sheryl.
[13:10] Aeolus Cleanslate: and - thanks to the brilliant suggestion of Miss Carver, submarine races
[13:10] Sheryl Skytower: eep!
[13:10] Aeolus Cleanslate: (real ones)
[13:10] Breezy Carver: Lokie is kicking off wed with fireworks right dear ????
[13:10] Mosseveno Tenk: someoen better sedate the mer...
[13:10] Aeolus Cleanslate: (well, sort of real - not like the kind I took my girlfriend to when we were 16)
[13:10] Breezy Carver: grins
[13:10] Loki Eliot: erm yeh
[13:10] Sheryl Skytower: *snuggles in close*
[13:10] Breezy Carver: thats a ma thing AE
[13:10] Aeolus Cleanslate: and finally, a uniformed ball at Piermont Landing
[13:11] Aeolus Cleanslate: we've had a great response in participation so far, and it's early days
[13:11] Breezy Carver: AE can i say something please ?
[13:11] Aeolus Cleanslate: we'll also be doing some publicity through the Lindens and out into the steampunkosphere...
[13:11] Aeolus Cleanslate: please - Breezy
[13:11] Mosseveno Tenk stares at the word
[13:12] Breezy Carver: Ok this is important .. i have contacted a few of you as has AE but we all multy task . we dont want anyone to feel left out
[13:12] Aeolus Cleanslate: yes! good point
[13:12] Breezy Carver: or not included but there are events on the dock .. so to speak .
[13:13] Breezy Carver: so all we ask if you have an idea you communicate with either of us
[13:13] Breezy Carver: as we are on the same page and in touch
[13:13] Breezy Carver: in our little new babbage ways kk
[13:13] Breezy Carver: this is steamland nation wide
[13:13] Breezy Carver: we want to shine to our dear neighbors :)
[13:13] Ceejay Writer: (And I know Breezy is VERY good about helping me keep the google social calendars current, too!)
[13:14] Aeolus Cleanslate: and please feel free to make suggestions or give feedback so we can make it better
[13:14] Breezy Carver: thats all grins . (( Yess :) ))
[13:14] Aeolus Cleanslate: well be scattering the events across as many sims as we can to reduce load
[13:14] Loki Eliot: I am aware that we are all the same community but from all around the globe, so events can be misssed easily, i wished i could have done my Barrel race and Fire Works all day so all could have taken part.
[13:14] Breezy Carver: nods we are .. having lots of company
[13:15] Aeolus Cleanslate: totally, Loki -we're rying eally ard to schedule for broadest participation
[13:15] Breezy Carver: this is the real deal with tall ships the works :)
[13:15] Salazar Jack: /makes mental note to increase steam production
[13:15] Breezy Carver: and they are very excited about it :)
[13:15] Aeolus Cleanslate: the big days will be Thursday Friday and Saturday
[13:15] Mosseveno Tenk: /makes mental note to start clearing prims out of the seas
[13:16] Aeolus Cleanslate: the rest will be relatively low key, except for the extra prims our exhibtors use
[13:16] Loki Eliot: so is the fleet week hopeing to bring in interest from the other steampunk cities? and beyond?
[13:16] Aeolus Cleanslate: if you'd like to join us in helping put this thingon I'm looking for coordinators for the sub races and Fleet Review
[13:17] Aeolus Cleanslate: so IM me if you can assist, please
[13:17] Aeolus Cleanslate: that's all - except for a warning to the mers to behave as best they can
[13:17] Mosseveno Tenk: i need prim estimates
[13:17] Aeolus Cleanslate: will do - I'll get the to you offline
[13:17] Breezy Carver: 1000s :)
[13:17] Aeolus Cleanslate: *them

[13:18] Mosseveno Tenk: ah, something i forgot to mention wiht the winter decorating
[13:18] Mosseveno Tenk: christmas decorating
[13:18] Mosseveno Tenk: is okay
[13:18] Mosseveno Tenk: but
[13:18] Mosseveno Tenk: it has to be in theme
[13:18] Jedburgh30 Dagger: no Griswalds?
[13:18] Mosseveno Tenk: New Babbage does have elctrictiy, so the old fashioned white globe lights will be allowed
[13:18] Ceejay Writer thumps Jed.
[13:18] Mosseveno Tenk: as in years past
[13:19] Loki Eliot: ]
[13:19] Mosseveno Tenk: colored and or flashing modern lighting will be returned on sight, and i won't care what youuuuuu have it linked to.

[13:19] Inea Wemyss: np
[13:19] Mosseveno Tenk: righto
[13:19] Inea Wemyss: no

Thank you for posting the summary Miss McMillan. Reading the transcript can be as difficult to follow a conversation as being there. Having the main points summed up helps greatly.

[13:19] Mosseveno Tenk: Wiki project
[13:19] Mosseveno Tenk: this is for the roleplayers especially
[13:20] Mosseveno Tenk: we've been telling stories for almost 3 years now
[13:20] Mosseveno Tenk: and some of us are a bit nutty about continuity
[13:20] Mosseveno Tenk: so
[13:20] Mosseveno Tenk: puh-lees used the wiki to archive yoru story so people can refer to it as they tell theier own plots
[13:21] Mosseveno Tenk: the ning is just too hard to keep up with when things get going fast
[13:21] Mosseveno Tenk: and lots of really good stuff gets lost forever in its bowels in a matter of hours
[13:21] Fono Heninga: I was thinking - something that would be useful would be to state what is common knowledge about your charactrer
[13:21] Loki Eliot: Regarding stories, sumtimes what can seem to be breaking continuity can simply be an unverified rumour
[13:22] Mosseveno Tenk: i've got soem cheat pages up yu can use to get starteed, and i've ovrhauled Beq's current events page into a news digest
[13:22] Mosseveno Tenk: so you can catch up with the story if you've been away for a week or 5.
[13:22] Mosseveno Tenk: very true loki
[13:22] Mosseveno Tenk: but soometimes i really wish i had better references of what has been told so i don't go walking all over it
[13:23] Loki Eliot: I still have trouble useing wikis, but ill do some work on that soon
[13:23] Gabrielle Riel: It's also an excellent way for new residents to learn the history and not feel left out - go use the Wiki :-)
[13:23] Mosseveno Tenk: here's the link
[13:23] Mosseveno Tenk: http://cityofnewbabbage.com/records/index.php?title=Main_Page
[13:23] gstone Turas: Okay!
[13:23] Mosseveno Tenk: its easier than html
[13:24] Mosseveno Tenk: i found out real quick.
[13:24] Loki Eliot: oooook
[13:24] Ceejay Writer: It is. I learned it, and Tenk too. So ANYONE CAN.
[13:24] Softpaw Sommer: and if you screw up someone else can fix it
[13:24] Moses Mureaux: It's very helpful for colaborative story telling.
[13:24] Mosseveno Tenk: Mr. Baroque will be in there frequently to fix your code adn make sure things end up in teh right places, so you've really got no reason not to
[13:24] Mosseveno Tenk grins
[13:24] Mosseveno Tenk: very. helpful.
[13:25] Mosseveno Tenk: and the collaborative stories are the best, i think
[13:25] Mosseveno Tenk: any questions on taht?
[13:25] Ceejay Writer: *nods furiously*
[13:25] Loki Eliot: im a bit reluctant to use the Wiki actualy heheh
[13:25] Mosseveno Tenk: its not as bad a time sink as the ning . think of it as a reference
[13:25] Loki Eliot: part of the fun i have had is hearing what residents have discovered for themselves, often they have taken sumfin in a totally different way
[13:26] Ceejay Writer: Long run it'll save time and effort - streamline our info.
[13:26] Mosseveno Tenk: yes
[13:26] Mosseveno Tenk: to both
[13:26] Mosseveno Tenk: ok
[13:26] Mosseveno Tenk: looking ahead to 2010
[13:26] Loki Eliot: blimey
[13:26] Mosseveno Tenk: i am only plannign 2 more sims. any more than that and we won't be a city-state any more
[13:27] Mosseveno Tenk: taht will fill in teh 1 corners on teh north row
[13:27] Breezy Carver: YAY!
[13:27] Moses Mureaux: 12 is a good number.
[13:27] Ghilayne Andrew nods.
[13:27] Avariel Falcon: Good show!
[13:27] Mosseveno Tenk: these 2 sims are not going to be friendly to non builders.
[13:27] Ceejay Writer: The Babbage Dozen
[13:27] Mosseveno Tenk: at all
[13:27] Loki Eliot: thank the gods
[13:27] Mosseveno Tenk: so what we got now is the last of the plug-n-play land
[13:27] Jimmy Branagh chuckles
[13:27] Gabrielle Riel agrees that 12 is the perfect number
[13:27] Myrtil Igaly: what about that dwarf mining village? It's one of the sim or something else?
[13:28] Mosseveno Tenk: there is room on the grid for north expansion, because of the reservations Mayor Sprocket did back when the lab let you do that sort of thng
[13:28] Aeolus Cleanslate: homesetads maybe
[13:29] Mosseveno Tenk: teh town to the north was part of sprocket's original plan, which is why we have empty space up there. and its kepr the tile farmers at a good distance too, very nice thing he did for us.
[13:29] Mosseveno Tenk: i dont knwo which sim will go first
[13:29] Mosseveno Tenk: but i would not expect it before spring
[13:29] Mosseveno Tenk: any questions on that
[13:29] Loki Eliot: you talking about west of palisade?
[13:29] Ceejay Writer: Didn't know that - thank you for sharing the behind the curtain detail.
[13:30] Mosseveno Tenk: right, that will be a weird one. you might have to build very vertically
[13:30] Breezy Carver: Oh is that what you meant about
[13:30] Mosseveno Tenk: east of acadey will be the old quarter, which needs lots of windy streets, so there will be no rectangular parceling.
[13:30] Breezy Carver: friendly building land ?
[13:30] Mosseveno Tenk: which means you'll *have* to build
[13:30] Moses Mureaux: Weird can be good. Building challenges can lead to greatness.
[13:31] Mosseveno Tenk: yep
[13:31] Mosseveno Tenk: hopefully we will have people that will step up to the challenge

[13:31] Mosseveno Tenk: which brings us to
[13:31] Mosseveno Tenk: the Academy
[13:31] Mosseveno Tenk: Mr. Cleanslate?
[13:31] Mosseveno Tenk: What is your vision for this project?
[13:32] Loki Eliot: i cant afford any more projects
[13:32] Breezy Carver coughsss
[13:32] Aeolus Cleanslate: well - I think we're all super proud of the quality of builing in Babbage
[13:32] Aeolus Cleanslate: er, *building
[13:33] Aeolus Cleanslate: but I think over the past few monhs w've ha some rea ethusiam from learning from each other
[13:33] Aeolus Cleanslate: *whe - lag
[13:33] Aeolus Cleanslate: *whew
[13:33] Mosseveno Tenk: 48 avs in sim
[13:33] Aeolus Cleanslate: and even more interest from outsiders who want to learn from us
[13:34] Aeolus Cleanslate: and I was thinking we could turn the Academy into a going concern
[13:34] Inea Wemyss: going concern?
[13:34] Aeolus Cleanslate: a real course schedule
[13:35] gstone Turas: That's a wonderful idea.
[13:35] Aeolus Cleanslate: faculty teaching, and getting an honorarium for doing so
[13:35] Eleseren Brianna: claps hands excitedly and bounces in an unladylike manner
[13:35] Victor1st Mornington: whos going to teach?
[13:35] Breezy Carver: oh a tartan one ??
[13:35] Breezy Carver smiles :)
[13:35] Aeolus Cleanslate: it would attract newcomers to Babbage, who might stay and be residents
[13:36] Inea Wemyss: very good idea
[13:36] Aeolus Cleanslate: and we would all benefit - no matter your skill level, we wouldall get better as builders
[13:36] Tinus Koskinen: a brillent idea truly.
[13:36] gstone Turas: I'm a beginner and I need all the help I can get.
[13:36] Aeolus Cleanslate: Tenk and I have been discussing asking students to contribute for the classes
[13:36] gstone Turas: Glad to contribute.
[13:36] Aeolus Cleanslate: perhaps residents pay less
[13:37] Mosseveno Tenk points and mouths "its all him"
[13:37] Ceejay Writer: Just like US universities - ot of state pays more.
[13:37] Aeolus Cleanslate: and the rate would be low - but they would help with incenting faculty to teach
[13:37] Eleseren Brianna: when can we sign up :p
[13:37] Mosseveno Tenk: i will be supporting the land as a civic build
[13:37] Stargirl Macbain: Would the schools focus mainly on steampunk-themed building?
[13:37] KayleiAnn Steampunk: What constitutes resident? Owner? Renter?
[13:37] Aeolus Cleanslate: I think one class a week would be fantastic
[13:37] gstone Turas: One class a week would be great.
[13:38] Loki Eliot: sounds interesting
[13:38] Aeolus Cleanslate: sorry - yes, steampunk and victorian would be a focus
[13:38] Mosseveno Tenk: that is a reasonable goal
[13:38] Mosseveno Tenk: once a week
[13:38] Eleseren Brianna: what times? we are all around the world R/L
[13:38] gstone Turas: But once you learn you can apply it to anything you desire.
[13:38] Loki Eliot: there is a certain skill needed in order to teach though
[13:38] Orchid McMillan: I imagine the times would be different depending on the teacher.
[13:38] Mosseveno Tenk: maybe hold it multiple times over the week?
[13:38] Breezy Carver: one class two times (( to reach all time zones ? ))
[13:38] Moses Mureaux: I think having teachers from all around the world might be a BENEFIT.
[13:38] Moses Mureaux: benefit*
[13:39] Ghilayne Andrew: It would, Mr. Mureaux.
[13:39] Tinus Koskinen: and for some who skills are outside of building? would it be open for other classes ((within theme of course))
[13:39] Jimmy Branagh: ((brb))
[13:39] Aeolus Cleanslate: not sure about the resident definition
[13:40] Aeolus Cleanslate: my thinking on the teachers is that Tenk should appoint the firt set
[13:40] Aeolus Cleanslate: *first
[13:40] Aeolus Cleanslate: and let the faculty pick more
[13:40] Aeolus Cleanslate: as warranted
[13:40] Fono Heninga: perhaps the electoral roll could help re: residents?
[13:41] Aeolus Cleanslate: yes indeed
[13:41] Mosseveno Tenk: gah!
[13:41] Aeolus Cleanslate: I imagine us being the 'graaduate school' to Caledon Oxbridge
[13:41] Mosseveno Tenk: how about a provost picks?
[13:41] Tinus Koskinen: very good, I would definately be interested in learning from my fellow babbagers.
[13:41] Aeolus Cleanslate: I would too, Mr Koskinen
[13:42] Rational Clarity: I also
[13:42] Eleseren Brianna: yes indeed
[13:42] Mosseveno Tenk: sounds pretty positive
[13:42] Sam Ermintrood: when do classes start? :)
[13:42] Aeolus Cleanslate laugs
[13:42] Jimmy Branagh: ((kback))
[13:43] Mosseveno Tenk: i'll be doing another cull on the models today. they are all good, i hate to return them.
[13:43] Canolli Capalini: I like the idea of a provost, appointed by the mayor?
[13:43] Aeolus Cleanslate nods- the provost would be a coordinator, so the faculty can focus on taching
[13:43] Mosseveno Tenk: classes will start after we get the thing built
[13:43] Aeolus Cleanslate: *teaching
[13:44] Mosseveno Tenk: the first provost will be flying by the seat of his or her knickers, i'm sure
[13:44] Salazar Jack: Steam-powered of course!
[13:44] Mosseveno Tenk: i'll take names of people that are interested.
[13:44] Tinus Koskinen: steam powered knickers, very Babbage.
[13:44] Mosseveno Tenk: you get your name on a plaque. wheee.
[13:44] Eleseren Brianna: do we learn how to build steam powered knickers? lol
[13:44] Mosseveno Tenk grins

[13:44] Mosseveno Tenk: Miss Mills, tell us about opera
[13:44] Aeolus Cleanslate nods - it's kind ofa startup thing no glamor
[13:44] Ceejay Writer suppresses the overwhelming urge to say something.
[13:45] Canolli Capalini: That's second emester Eleseren.
[13:45] LillieJay Mills: The Mercurochrome Opera House, yes thanks
[13:45] LillieJay Mills: we're moving on to Plan B
[13:45] Mosseveno Tenk: aww, no one entered?
[13:45] LillieJay Mills: I's been very challenging for one person to write an entire opera alone
[13:46] gstone Turas: what did I miss?
[13:46] Orchid McMillan: Would it be advantageous to have our provost actually teach courses, or not? I am not sure how much coordinating would actually be involved for the one person.
[13:46] LillieJay Mills: so I am hoping people will help me collaborate on one
[13:46] LillieJay Mills: perhaps on the ning
[13:46] YoYo Underby: what kind of opera did you ahve in mind?
[13:46] Mosseveno Tenk: Miss Mills issued a challenge for someoen to write a babbage-based opera using existing music.
[13:47] Mosseveno Tenk: i think this should proably go out to the greater steamlands
[13:47] Mosseveno Tenk: For collaberation?
[13:47] Ghilayne Andrew: Perhaps with additional advertisement and explanation? I never quite understood exactly what the task was.
[13:47] Mosseveno Tenk: hmmm
[13:47] Breezy Carver: that might be a grand idea
[13:47] Breezy Carver: to open it cross nation
[13:47] Jimmy Branagh: It might makes things easier to choose whatever existing music will be used first.
[13:47] Mosseveno Tenk: i know there are some opera people in caledon
[13:48] Jasper Kiergarten: are you talking about an original opera?
[13:48] Gabrielle Riel: This is a massive endeavor - I recommend a large team to help get it done
[13:48] Ceejay Writer: Agreed. I likend the concpet but have a lot of writing assignments - but it sounds like great fun.
[13:48] LillieJay Mills: I am certainly open for suggestions
[13:48] Mosseveno Tenk: you don't want to know what doc did not submit....
[13:48] Breezy Carver: or it will put the fire under babbage at the .. thought
[13:48] Ghilayne Andrew: were you speaking of just writing a libretto? Of writing lyrics? Both.. it wasn't something I quite could get a grip on :)
[13:48] LillieJay Mills: I really want to see the building put to good use
[13:49] LillieJay Mills: just lyrics
[13:49] Mosseveno Tenk: Maybe you could suggest soem existing suites of music that are fairly short?
[13:49] gstone Turas: Perhaps an Operatta in the Gilbert and Sullivan vein would attract more collaborators.
[13:49] Mosseveno Tenk: interesting

[13:50] Mosseveno Tenk: Mr Cleanslate wanted to talk about trains?
[13:50] Aeolus Cleanslate: yes sur - briefly
[13:51] Aeolus Cleanslate: many of you have seen the work going on up in Palisades on trains - Mr Landar has given the project a shot in the arm
[13:51] Aeolus Cleanslate: and we all loved Rip's Chost Train
[13:51] Aeolus Cleanslate: *Ghost
[13:52] Aeolus Cleanslate: maybe not -
[13:52] Aeolus Cleanslate: but regular scheduled trains are on the agenda
[13:52] Tinus Koskinen: we haven't borrowed more from that scrooge fellow ((definately liked the Ghost train))
[13:52] Aeolus Cleanslate: so there are lots of ideas and projects on trains left to build - any and all volunteers would be welcome
[13:53] Aeolus Cleanslate: we don't want anyone to feel it's a limited-involvement thing
[13:53] Rip Wirefly: Suggestion, the rail in town are good for trolly, but out of the city, are far too small for trains, perhaps widen then a bit
[13:53] Aeolus Cleanslate: yes true, Rip -
[13:54] Aeolus Cleanslate: and lots of potential for trains *in* the city as well
[13:54] Aeolus Cleanslate: that's all on that - the more the merrier
[13:54] Mosseveno Tenk: we're goignto hav a talk about prims in palisade real soon *koff*
[13:54] Mosseveno Tenk: righto
[13:54] Aeolus Cleanslate looks at his shoes

[13:54] Mosseveno Tenk: few minutes left. what you got? anyone?
[13:55] Aeolus Cleanslate: (can I just say - what an amazing turnout! someone get a picture!)
[13:55] Aeolus Cleanslate: (I'm tempted to get out the wedding picture poseballs...)
[13:55] Mosseveno Tenk braces himself for quesions
[13:55] Bookworm Hienrichs: Quick question--did someone volunteer to post the transcript of this? If not, I'll do it.
[13:55] Orchid McMillan: I have taken condensed notes.
[13:55] Mosseveno Tenk: i got the transcript. Orchid will post a summary version
[13:56] Salazar Jack: Will the Vernian see any expansion in the future?
[13:56] Mosseveno Tenk: i have to read it a couple times anyhoo to difest it
[13:56] Mosseveno Tenk: Not likely, Mr, J, becuase it is hard to find residents for underwater.
[13:56] Salazar Jack nods
[13:56] Aeolus Cleanslate: (which reminds me - anyone want to build viewing platforms for the submarine races?)
[13:56] Mosseveno Tenk: Mr. Grimm's lot has not had any inquiries, or the nautilus lot. tha is the hardest land to find peopple for
[13:56] Eleseren Brianna: boat licences - would that help to pay for it?
[13:56] Aeolus Cleanslate: (sorry Tenk)
[13:57] Mosseveno Tenk: hmmm
[13:57] Sheryl Skytower: maybe put an island up? small one?
[13:57] Ghilayne Andrew: That's an excellent idea, Ms. Brianna.
[13:57] Mosseveno Tenk: i could see supporting ti with going into the skybox business... but i think i might feel like a real heel doing taht
[13:57] Gabrielle Riel nods
[13:57] Mosseveno Tenk: Doc share of the Deep has not been sold either. and that comes with estate rights!
[13:57] Moses Mureaux: An island might help. I don't like the idea or cluttering the open sea, but it has to pay for itself.
[13:57] Eleseren Brianna: A steampunk floating city?
[13:58] Sheryl Skytower: just a small one, perhaps... enough for a fishing spot or psuedo beach...
[13:58] Ghilayne Andrew: sky city...
[13:58] Ghilayne Andrew: ?
[13:58] Mosseveno Tenk: drilling platform
[13:58] Loki Eliot: hmmm
[13:58] Canolli Capalini: With cavorite adn lots of little propellors.
[13:58] Sheryl Skytower: ooh... drilling platform is nice!
[13:58] Mosseveno Tenk chokes
[13:58] Breezy Carver: Love that idea !!!
[13:58] Fono Heninga: drilling platform!
[13:58] Mosseveno Tenk: Wash your mouth out, Miss C!
[13:58] Ceejay Writer: Drilling platform! For oil! *sudden grin*
[13:58] Eleseren Brianna: :D
[13:59] Salazar Jack: If there has been no advertising for such underwater parcels beyond the Ning, perhaps it may help to market such a place to the larger outside world, beyond the Steamlands.
[13:59] Ceejay Writer: Fishing and sunbathing, both dangerous in Babbage waters.
[13:59] Breezy Carver looks down at boots
[13:59] Breezy Carver with an eviil smile even
[13:59] Sheryl Skytower: exactly! *snorgles*
[13:59] Softpaw Sommer: I still think some of you really good builders need to make some steampunk fish and salvage for 7seas fishing in the vernion..
[13:59] Gabrielle Riel: There is also Excalibur Longstaff's Steamlander Formun.
[14:00] Tinus Koskinen: I am a huge fan of sailing.
[14:00] Mosseveno Tenk: hmm, yeah. some unique 7 seas fish would be cool
[14:00] Mosseveno Tenk looks at breeezy for possible ball build
[14:00] Breezy Carver smiles
[14:00] Moses Mureaux knew he forgot something on his to-do list...
[14:00] Breezy Carver and nods
[14:00] Mosseveno Tenk: thing about sailing.. we will never ever be able to support that much water. no one can privately.
[14:00] Ghilayne Andrew: that'd be fun ball build, too
[14:00] Mosseveno Tenk: the blakes sea project is very interseting and is supported by the lab
[14:01] Kembri Tomsen: I thought it was a bout build for the ball?
[14:01] Breezy Carver nods ..
[14:01] Kembri Tomsen: boat too
[14:01] Ghilayne Andrew: there is, Kem. This is a future thought.
[14:01] Breezy Carver: Sail boat this month
[14:01] Mosseveno Tenk: righto, end of the hour. i'll stick around a little longer if you like, but the meeting is officially adjourned
[14:01] Eleseren Brianna: A floating China Mieville-esque floating city above might help finance more sea?
[14:01] Breezy Carver: YAY!
[14:01] Salazar Jack: Thank you!
[14:01] Breezy Carver: thank YOU :)
[14:01] Mosseveno Tenk hates long meetings
[14:01] Ceejay Writer: YAY!
[14:01] Sheryl Skytower: *:-.,_,.-:*'``'*Yayyyyyyy!!!!*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*
[14:01] Matthew Masingh: YAY!
[14:01] Avariel Falcon: Click! Yay!
[14:01] Inea Wemyss: thank you!
[14:02] Moses Mureaux agrees with the Clockwinder
[14:02] Stargirl Macbain: Woot!
[14:02] Sheryl Skytower: I'z go write more!
[14:02] Vivi Boxen: Bye guys... and tenk i am gonna make a snowman of you
[14:02] Ceejay Writer: Right then! Back to work for me. :)
[14:02] Mosseveno Tenk: For floating city, go south south east to Armada. They just got a new sim!

"- Kaylee Frye has snowdrift sculpts for sale at Serenity Steamworks" I guess I should probably actually put those up in my store, huh.
