as a member (so i believe) of a new and rising monetary-industrial aristocracy i am not sure if i can support the foundation of newfangled workers unions. the peasantry should be grateful to get labour at the bosom of the ascending star of industrialisation and get out of their hard and painful, yet unhealthy bucolic rural lives. nevertheless i join this association, to have one foot in the door and an ear for the commonalty.

While I suppose wordsmithing is not a common man's (or woman's) occupation, it does not often pay well, so perhaps, erm. With respect?
