New Babbage is certainly a hotbed of excitement once again, although that is almost so commonplace as to be beneath mention. Obolensky shows his scorn for the citizens of his adopted land by destroying your City Hall. Thankfully, it was evacuated in time, but still some were felled by side effects of the debris and damage.

After some tense moments dealing with the anti-magic bomb at the City Hall, the leader of the pirate group - who had been promised protection from lynch mobs by Herr Clockwinder - appeared, apparently looking to reclaim his pilot from my custody. As the crowd, all well-armed, became agitated, Herr Tenk got word to me to take the Commodore into custody as well for interrogation. Yesterday afternoon, as most know by now, New Babbage was attacked by air pirates, dropping bombs which had malicious effect on any in proximity who have even partially magical nature.

My congratulations and sympathies to Mayor-Elect Tenk as he takes on this prodigious task. I hope that the Consulate of Europa Wulfenbach may be a welcome partner and contributor to the future of New Babbage under the Tenk administration.
