After some thought, I figured that it was most likely that Skyler would go into the sewers to escape notice. So, I went into the courtyard behind Mr. Holmes's house, as I knew of an easy way in there. Sure enough, it wasn't long before I heard his...

Oh, dear, dear, dear. After examaning the scene of the crime, I went first to get the autopsy notes, then headed to the militia headquarters to interview Skyler. When I got there, though, I found that he had somehow gotten hold of an explosive, b...

No one has yet mentioned that there is a trail of footprints leading from the scene toward the City Hall. They are the same as one of the sets leading in from the south entrance. Having examined the footprints, this is my working interpretation: ...

What has brought you to New Babbage and SL Steampunk?
I followed a friend (Miss Ceejay Writer) here, having no other place to consider even close to a home. I'm not sure how well I fit, but if nothing else, it's fascinating to observe.

I'm currently employable as an event photographer. Please contact me about rates and available times.
Could you provide a bit of background about yourself?
I am, as my name implies, a bookworm. Ancient history fascinates me, as well as many sciences. I also love classical music. However, I am, basically, a straight-laced woman who's still somewhat befuddled to find herself in New Babbage.

Sorry, no amazing or tragic backstories here. What you see is what you get.
Do you have a website?

Perhaps a second one?

Our newest correspondent?

((This is completely public, despite being written in my journal.))

What have I done now?

I happened to run into Miss Saffia Widdershins this morning, and we repaired into a nearby shop for some tea. It was so nice to be able to have a relaxed conversation with her; ofttimes, I only see her at dances, which are far too busy for me to hold extended conversations. We fell to talking about the events of the past couple of months here in New Babbage, including the plague that hit last month. I sai… Continue

The answer? No. No peace.

((Private journal entry, but feel free to comment))

I think the question now is whether I truly want peace. Answering that is going to take a great deal of thought.

Halloween was a special day for Miss Breezy Carver, so she held a celebration on the docks near my apartment. I took a great many pictures of the event--free of charge, my present to her. I'd originally gone down in an everyday dress, but soon realized… Continue

Will we ever have peace?

((Private journal entry, but feel free to comment))

This month just seems to be one distressing event after another! First the plague, now this!

Last week, my adventures in running around New Babbage, including the sewers, led to a distressing illness. I also discovered that my photographic equipment, which had gone with me through so many adventures, had finally given up the ghost. Before I became too sick, I was able to put together enough money to send for new, and state-of-the-art, equipme… Continue

I'm glad you followed me, Bookworm! Oh, and I am reminded. Do you know there's an amazing new library being constructed right now in the Babbage Canal district??? It's really nice! You should go snoop about. Theres' a cozy lounge area with a fireplace on the main floor. Perfect for curling up with a book.

The library that Miss Writer mentioned is so wonderful! Just the place to read and study. Ancient history, heh? Sounds interesting. And does your favorite show have a certain doctor in it?

No, my favorite show has a human and two robots.

(If that's not enough of a clue...it's 'Mystery Science Theater 3000.' Which is why my SL title is 'MSTie.')

Did you get the bookcases? I know that with SLX there's always a risk because if your IMs are capped in-world the item won't be delivered. I've run into that before. Just let me know. If you didn't get them, I'll re-send!
