Profile Information

What has brought you to New Babbage and SL Steampunk?
I just have a love for all things mechanical and the romance of times gone by.
Could you provide a bit of background about yourself?
After fighting the Russians in the doomed November Uprising and the death of my dear friend Countess Emilia Plater I left Poland and wandered around for several years. Finlay I found a place to call home here in New Babbage. Occasionally you can find me dressed in my old uniform riding around Babbage on my trusted stead. I occupy my time with photography and literature. Stop by my gallery in the canals and perhaps I will share some poetry with you.

In RL I am a Photographer, writer, Tool and Die maker and I hold a BA in History.

Sir Steamalot's Tome Translation Pt 2

Translated from the original Latin text found at the tomb of Sir Steamalot under Gatsby's Gallery of Photography. Further installments coming forth soon.
Gatsby Szuster translator,

After leaving the company of my fellow knights I hath set forth moving north through Byzantium making my way through to Europa. Though on my tenth day of my journey a heavy fog set upon me in a mysterious steppe. I seemed to be lost in the fog for many days when I saw the outline of a castle. As I approached a Sire G… Continue

Sir Steamalot's Tome Translation Pt 1

Gatsby Szuster translator,

I hath journeyed for many years in search of this “Holy Cog of Antioch” the cog used in the hoist of St John the Evangelist's fishing boat. It is said he who possess the Holy Cog will have interchangeable parts for all thy contraptions. My journey though is coming to an end as I fear my wounds received from a certain… Continue

Mysterious Discovery Under My Gallery!!!

It seems all the work on our new sewer system has unearth the ruins of a medieval church. My foundation started settling and when I did some work to repair it I found an opening. I climbed down some boards and found the catacomb of a a church. I immediately called Miss Sera who was at the Salon and she brought along Jasper who happened to be passing by. We found three intact tombs as well as a book telling of the the adventures of a Sir Steamalot who was a knight of the "Hexagonal Table."

It se… Continue

New Babbage Cavalry First Action Report

New Babbage Cavalry First Action Report

The New Babbage Cavalry fought in its first action Sunday night against the forces holding our Militia Headquarters hostage. Mr. Jasper Kiergarten had just delivered the newly manufactured carbines to me earlier in the day, and Ms. Viv Trafalgar delivered the finely designed uniforms at the same time.

Our scouts reported that militia headquarters had been taken.

We mustered at the stable along with the other militia members and made our way to Wheatsto… Continue

I just browsed through your photography website! I am SO tempted to push you towards Tammy Connolly in-world, the owner of the Poetry in Pixels gallery. It's a wonderful place, and she often has open-calls for new artists. Photography displays are not difficult to do in SL. Give that some thought!
