Heya kiddo! Sometimes, it is good to have a backstory, but it isn't an absolute. Sometimes, I feel as if my own is thin to the point of transparency, but what we do helps write that as much as what we want to establish. Character development shou...

What has brought you to New Babbage and SL Steampunk?
I found SL because of an article I read on a flight in a technical journal from the office. I found New Babbage while looking for a place to explore the steampunk side of the grid. A love of old technology, history, and science fiction took root in the cobbled streets and canals of the city...
Could you provide a bit of background about yourself?
My father was an army officer who worked for the Foreign Service after going on half-pay. I traveled with him to his new postings abroad after Mother died. I completed university, and traveled a bit on my own, working many odd jobs here and there to pay the bills. I dabble a bit in paranormal investigations, am a fair hand at things mechanical, a crack shot with all manner of firearms, considered by some to be well read and at best amusing company. Lacking a suitable excuse, I accepted a commission as Commodore of the New Babbage Naval Militia, and also assist in the behind the scenes operations of the Aether Salon.
I am currently the lead agent for Terranova Investigations, which is based in New Babbage. We are currently taking clients for any number of investigative services.

Not just another Sunday in Babbage

It was a typical Sunday in Babbage. I had been out of town working on a case (note to self-no more surveillance jobs in S********) and after grabbing a quick nap, I was off to the cafe for a cuppa and a danish. Just as I finished slipping my boots on, the aethergraph began to chatter, so I wandered over to see what on the reel. The last word on the reel stood out ---URGENT!URGENT! I pulled the paper off to the start tab and began to read...

What I have learned in SL at the 2 year mark

During my rezday party, I was asked the question I expected to be asked by our DJ, Ms Riel, and I failed to answer. Not because I didn't want to , but because I was still thinking about the answer. As is my norm, I seriously overthought it, and it took me this long to get all my musing together in one place...that and my previously mentioned maladroitness with a keyboard that our own Miss Writer so pointedly makes reference to...

So what have I learned in 2 years of Second Life?

The three rule… Continue

Well, yes, I am ready for my ironclad swimsuit photo shoot. Still having a bit of trouble with my face mask fogging up, and I do tend to leave rust spots on the floor from my boots. Iron is so fetching, wouldn't you agree?
