The article was nice as it not only provided a bit of exposure for Steampunk in general, but re-empahsises that the genre is a proverbial "flash-in-the-pan" to the general public. The fact the blog was mentioned in it as well was quite nice - lets h…

Scarlet does not live in Babbage nor is she there often enough to make an enemy - she is quite oblivious to matters of that sort. She makes the voyage from Armada at times, basically to drink to oblivion, smoke opium, and listen to the tales and plo…

What has brought you to New Babbage and SL Steampunk?
I was familiar with Steampunk prior to arriving to SL, and though I did like Caledon when I first arrived, it was a bit too... nice for me. After a long voyage (rl & sl), I have returned to New Babbage, and enjoyed my time here quite throughly.
I ended up starting a blog almost 10 months ago to document SL Steampunk & Victoriana. Quickly becoming rather popular, I hope to promote as much Steampunk (and Victoriana, by association) as permissible.
Could you provide a bit of background about yourself?
After an existiance of wandering the seas and exploring the skies, I inherited my uncle Francois' small nautical business in New Babbage, and decided to settle down in Port Babbage. With my dear Artesia by my side, we have explored and experienced amazing episodes in Second Life Victoriana/Steampunk environment.
From circumnavigating the mainland in my trusty airship, fighting pirates in the Sea of Antiquity, visiting the depths of the Vernian Sea, or just spending a few moments together in the Babbage Palisaide, I have enjoyed the opportunity to experience Second Life through brass goggles.

Introduction...

I have started up the Ning New Babbage community as a backup to the New Babbage Forums. It seems to have dissapeared, and until it resurfaces, I hope that this small bit of virtual New Babbage will suffice.
