What has brought you to New Babbage and SL Steampunk?
Life in the country is pleasant and peaceful...however that can become boring after a while. Mistress Storry Telling and her girl, Mare Brown have come to the city in hopes of promoting Mare’s Art Works. They have set up a Gallery above the Steam Funk Store in the heart of Port Babbage. The exhibit is slated to open to the Public on Saturday the 16th of May. Interested parties may meet the artist all this month in the gallery, where she will be available to answer questions and greet her new fans. The works are not for sale, but the artist can be commissioned for projects by those who may find it pleasing.

Getting Aquainted

I must say, Mare and I have received a very warm reception here among the good citizens of New Babbage. We have found many friendly and earnest people here. Mare's gallery opening was a smashing success; thanks to you all. We are grateful to all those who helped us to find our footing here... Miss Elleon Bergamasco, Viv Trafalgar, Captain Red Llewellyn , Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and every one who has welcomed us so sincerely! We look forward to becoming a more established part of this thriving community.
Could you provide a bit of background about yourself?
Lady Storry Telling is headmistress of a home for wayward girls. She keeps the young ladies at her family estate in the country on the outskirts of New Babbage. Mistress Storry accepts girls who are in trouble and need to find direction and discipline in their lives. She provides an excellent curriculum and a strict atmosphere, stressing proper decorum and etiquette. Interested parties should apply to her directly.

Telling Tales

Mulberry Murders...a bit of pruning in springtime.

Every spring it was the same thing. No sooner would she think that things were ordered and in place than some new aggravation would arise. The report came in of intruders in the southern part of the garden. This was not surprising, for that is where her most beautiful flowers lived. She remembered last year this same problem had arisen. She called for her young apprentice and headed out to investigate the scene. When she arrived she found what… Continue

Dear Miss Telling,
If you should require an extra firm hand in regards to instruction I might be persuaded from my usual indolence to make an occasional guest lecture. I cannot stand to see these young hoydenish girls running rampant and not learning to mind their betters!
