Some secrets are best left unknown. ;) ((Short answer...nobody knows ;) Long answer ... no there's nothing about it in the stories. Dorothy Sayers speculated that it was Hamish, but the justification for this rests on somewhat shaky ground IMO ;)...

The speculation is that his middle name was Hamish. In "The Man with the Twisted Lip", his wife Mary called him James, which in Scottish is Hamish. Other than that, there is noting to confirm what Watson's middle name was.

Mustache salt & pepper shaker where one half is salt and the other is pepper!!!

Why do the halves have different numbers of holes, you ask? To distinguish that one is salt, and one is pepper. There is an ongoing debate (for serious, google it) over which (salt or pepper) should be the one with more holes.… Continue

Dear Mr. Brandenburg,
Hello, sir - glad to make your acquaintance ! To address your question about the badges, do the following:
1) On the right hand side of the main page (where the badges are), choose the hyperlink "Get Code".
2) This will take you to the "Badges and Widgets" page, where you will be presented a choice of three badges. Simply choose the hypertext/HTML Embed Code (to the left) of the badge you wish to display, and add it to your page.
That should resolve the issue, but if it proves to be a challenge (as Blogger often is), please do contact me, so I may assist in resolving the issue. Do hope to have the opportunity to meet you inworld!
Respectfully,
Dr. Rafael Fabre
