- What has brought you to New Babbage and SL Steampunk?
- Having heard of New Babbage from various related Steampunk sources I was inclined to visit this wonderful city. Once here I found myself warmly greeted by its residents and have felt inclined to stay. I must confess I hail from more of a "Deiselpunk" background and have so far no skills of building in the SL world. Thus I have for the moment mostly been just lurking lol.
- Could you provide a bit of background about yourself?
- Once a newly promoted young Captain in the Royle Airfleet, I was assigned to patrol an area which was being plagued by sky pirates plundering the air shipping lanes.
By chance my ship happened upon an ageing pirate vessel which launced her parasite fighter planes and engaged us in combat. We were able to damage the pirate vessel and it fled into the cover of the clouds. However one of the pirate parasite fighter planes did not have chance to return to its mothership and we were able to take the pilot prisoner.To my great surprise the Pilot turned out to be a young woman by the name of Vicky Hartmann who I had had somthing of an "acquaintance" with in previous years. Since all captured pirates inevitably endup unfront of a fireing squad I took it upon myself to allow miss Hartman to "escape" but when my involvement came to the attension of my superiors I was promply booted out of the airfleet. After fleeing from an impending court marshal I found myself wondering the streets of New Babbage, Often drowning my sorrows with drink and stumbling into various interesting places and residents (who hopefully I haven't borred too much on some of my more late night wonderings).
